Later three-quarter red leather and marbled boards with gilt spine titling. Frontis. torn and repaired at gutter, else fine. Tremont House was a hotel in Boston designed by Isaiah Rogers (1800-1869) and built in 1829. It was the first hotel with indoor plumbing and running water. With the bookplate of William S. Reese on front pastedown.
