Harvill, 1831. 1st ed. 162 pp. Bound in later 3/4 blue morocco. A very good copy. HOWES W-438. Sabin 104138. Streeter II, 812. "Willett as a boy of 18 served in the unsuccessful expedition against the French at Fort Ticonderoga and later with Bradstreet against Fort Frontenac. In 1790 he conducted for President Washington a successful negotiation with the Creek Indians which resulted in the treaty of August 7, 1790. The narrative is essentially a firsthand account, for as stated by his son the 'Narrative is little more than a transcript of what he himself wrote after he had attained his seventieth year,'"--Streeter II, 812.
