Relates to a lawsuit over the erection of a bridge at Chestnut Street across the Schuylkill river, and the consequent closing of the river to navigation. The evidence includes the detailed specifications for the masonry. The folding plates shows the Chestnut Street, Market Street, and the Pennsylvania Railroad bridges, with their structures and moorings, as well as the navigation channels in the river, and how barging would work with the new bridge.
