"Prince spent seven years in the preparation of this work.it was carefully compiled from a large number of authentic records and relations, mostly in the exact words of the respective authorities." - Church. Complete in and of itself, though a "Volume II" was published in 1755 as Annals of New England. "Our most scholarly colonial work" - Howes.
