Text evenly toned, spine tape-reinforced, very small library stamp on third leaf, else very good. Drake 3092. Evans 6807. ESTC W29767. The woodcut shows the predicted transit of Mercury in front of the Sun on May 6th of 1753. The final two pages explain the discontinuity between the 1752 and 1753 almanacs, attributed to the act of Parliament which established a calendar year consistent with the solar year.
