Orig. gilt-armorial cloth, housed in uniform custom brown cloth slipcases, inner cloth chemises, with red morocco spine labels (except for 1865). A very good or better set. A rare run of Valentine's Manual, complete with a wealth of maps, plates and information about the growing city during the 19th century. The earliest volumes, printed in a small format from 1842-1848, are quite scarce. Most of the volumes are in remarkable condition. This run lacks only the final three volumes.
