One of 600 numbered copies in the large paper edition, printed at the Riverside Press. Bound into Vol. One of The Iliad is a page of Bryant's corrected manuscript from Book V, appearing in this edition on pp. 146-147. Each volume has frontispieces in two states: handcolored and uncolored. The plates reproduce illustrations by the sculptor, designer, and illustrator John Flaxman (1755-1826) in 1793, which are among his most enduring masterpieces. A bit of light rubbing to foredges of boards, else a very good set.
