Hardee's Tactics was widely used by both sides in the Civil War. Ownership inscription on front pastedown: "Byron B. Green, Bought in Richmond, March 5, 1862." Below: "W. J. Cusson, 1st Lieut., Co. J, 7th Reg. Geo. Vols. This Book was borrowed from B.B. Green in the month of August 1862 by W.J. C."
