HOWES M-317. Sabin 44793. First French edition. While the Philadelphia edition of the Atlas volume had 10 maps, this edition has 12 maps. There are also three plates that did not appear in the American edition: "Orme sous lequel Guillaume Penn conclut, a Kensington, son premier Traite avec les Indiens," "Mont-Vernon, habitation du general Washington, situee dan la Virginie," and "Vue de la ville de Washington, en 1800." The leaf listing the maps and plates gives their placement in each of this edition's five volumes.
