Scarce, only one copy has come to auction since 1975. Geiger, an Englishman, began his journey in San Francisco in December 1874. The author describes his voyage down the California coast, reaching Baja California after a week. Geiger then journeyed across the country visiting Guadalajara, Mexico City, and other points. Geiger includes a chapter on society and politics.
