The eleaborate engraved advertisements of musical instruments, machinery, clothing, lotteries, and the like, are especially notable for their high level of craftsmanship. Includes short business directories for the primary cities of the eastern seaboard. "The book had evidence of being primarily a promotional venture, and the promoter expected to get out an annual edition"--Clark. Quite rare. The advertisements have a wealth of illustration.
