The Success was built at Moulmein in 1790 as a merchant vessel. In 1802 she became the first vessel to transport convicts to Australia. In 1851 she became a receiving prison in Hudson's Bay, Australia. Scuttled in Sydney harbor in 1885, she was raised in 1890 as a historical artifact.
