Later 3/4-morocco, raised spine bands, T.e.g. Some faint scattered foxing, else a very good copy. On 24 April 1870 the author, one of two British geologists appointed government surveyors to British Guiana, became the first European to see Kaieteur Falls. Brown returned a year later to survey the Falls, often considered one of the most impressive waterfalls. Much material on the Indians, wildlife, and plants, as well as geological matters.
