Onderdonk, D.D. Bishop of New York; on a Presentment Made by the Bishops of Virginia, Tennessee, and Georgia by Authority of the Court. New York: D. Appleton & Co., 1845. 1st ed. 333 pp. Orig. printed wrappers. Spine chipped, light chipping to wrappers, light uniform toning, else a very good copy. Bishop Onderdonk (1791-1861_ was accused of molesting women in public places and in carriages while drunk. Onderdonk was found guilty and suspended after this trial. His brother, also a bishop, was suspended at his own request for alcoholism.
