Howes R-412: "Fine picture of frontier travel, social conditions, etc., in the West and South." During the 1830s and 1840s, Rogers travelled through Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, as well as Missouri, New York, and Illinois.
