The Board of Regents was planning the campus when Mrs. Hearst expressed interest in funding an international competition and two of the buildings. Contains history, instructions for competing, two photos of exhibition room full of submitted entries, plates of first through fifth prize-winning entries. First prize went to Monsieur E. Bernard of Paris who won $10,000. Many plates of drawings submitted.
