Sabin 82126 (misidentifying the author). TPL 3391. Sleigh was born in Canada, and was a shipowner, landowner, and military officer there. This book contains much information on social and political conditions, particularly in the maritime areas -- Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. He also considers whether the provinces are propitious "places of settlement for gentlemen with limited incomes," and argues against independence for Canada which would result in the spread of slavery.
