Carey, 1818. 1st ed. Two vols. in one. 251; 234pp. A very good copy in orig. calf in old 3/4 leather and marbled boards. The author was the nephew of the distinguished botanist Benjamin Smith Barton, and like him, trained as a surgeon. He produced a number of natural history works, this being one of the most important. This work describes over 100 indigenous plants.
